SECONDARY SCHOOL COMPETITIONS
During the summer months, secondary schools can enter into hardball and softball competitions for boys and girls. Our Club and Community Coaches are funded to help promote Girls' Cricket in secondary schools through the Chance to Shine Secondary School Girls Programme, which includes taster sessions and leadership opportunities. They also have hours set aside for some work with boys in secondary schools.

CHANCE TO COMPETE - SOFTBALL CRICKET
BOYS/MIXED SOFTBALL
Eligibility
This is a mixed competition to allow girls to play in the team should their school not be able to field a team in the girls-only competition. There is no requirement for ratio of boys/girls in this competition.
Boys who have represented Devon at hardball cricket are not eligible to play.
The winners of the regional rounds will go through to an eight-team Finals Day.

There are no specific eligibility criteria for the girls' competition. However, this softball competition is aimed at those newer to the game and sides should be picked on this basis.
