DEVON are waiting on a number of selection issues before naming their side for the win-at-all-costs game against Oxfordshire at Sidmouth, which starts on Sunday (11am).
Doubtful starters from the team that drew with Herefordshire at Eastnor last time out to stay top of the Western Division table are bowling all-rounder Matt Skeemer, off-spinner and former captain Jamie Stephens, all-rounder Callum Harvey and first-season batter Luke Medlock.
“Work and holidays are the reason for not naming a side yet,” said skipper James Horler.
“Whatever the releases of availabilities, we will be looking to replicate the characteristics of the team that has got us to where we are.”
Devon moved in at the top of the Western Division One table two rounds ago after defeating Cornwall at Cornwood. They are the only team with a win in a table dominated by drawn games.
Devon cannot be caught by second-placed Berkshire in the final found of fixtures as they have already played all four games in the five-team table.
The threat to a Devon (45pts) title comes from Oxfordshire (34), who are 11 points behind in third place, or Herefordshire (33).
Herefordshire’s final game is at Redruth against bottom side Cornwall (28pts), who need a win to stave-off relegation.
