B Division Briefing – week 18
Ivybridge (2nd) v Plymstock (3rd)
Ivybridge (Josh Zimmerman): Two changes for us this week. Josh Coker and Adam Huxtable come back in to have us as strong as we can be. These types of games are the reason we play cricket. It's set-up to be an awesome day and I'm sure both teams will be bang up for it.
Plymstock (Tom Mitch): Archie Hall comes back in. We know we have to do to get back in the top two so it's on us to make sure that happens.
Braunton (8th) v Ipplepen (9th)
Braunton (Sam Reddick): It all comes down to one game, we know what we need to do. Last week's game gave us a lot of confidence. despite the narrow loss. Mark Thomas and Dan Brierley come in for James Lake and Andrew Paddison. We are hoping the weather forecast drastically changes as we don't want that to spoil things. We are looking to show Ipplepen we are better side than we displayed away earlier this season. Lots riding on the game and we have to be clinical on the day.
Ipplepen (Matt Beasant): Obviously, it's not the position we'd like to be in, but this is what it's all about. We will relish the challenge, we haven't been consistent enough all season, but still have the chance to put that right within 90 overs on Saturday. Waiting on a couple for availability, so team is yet to be finalised.
Clyst St George (4th) v Abbotskerswell (10th)
Clyst (Dan Kendall): Full availability for the first time this season. It would be good to get some cricket in. Feels it would be a shame to end on a rain-off. Either way we'll be enjoying ourselves at Bohea Field by ensuring no stocks go to waste! Hopefully we can celebrate a 2nd XI promotion as well.
Abbotskerswell (Toby Codd): Last game of what's been a disappointing season. Hoping to get out there together with smiles on our faces and enjoy the day.
Bovey Tracey II (7th) v Budleigh Salterton (top)
Bovey Tracey (Dan Green): A couple of changes from last week. Myself and Ed foreman are back in. The weather doesn't look too good, however one point is all we need to stay up.
Budleigh Salterton (Ed Doble): Looking forward to the last one of the season. Hoping the weather stays away. Back in come Max Mejzner and Sid Fereday.
Bideford (5th) v Stoke Gabriel (6th)
Bideford (Jack Ford): Julian Hayter back into the team after pulling out of last Saturday's game on Saturday. Spinner Martin Stewart also back in after only getting two minutes on the football pitch last weekend. Nothing on the game for either side, but hopefully we can finish strongly and get as high a finish as possible.
Stoke Gabriel (Jack Tolley): A few changes for us this week, still not confirmed. Looking for more consistency next year, a good year for the club on the whole!
