Meet Our Trustees: Chad Leembruggen

Chad Leembruggen is a new Trustee of the Devon Cricket Foundation (DCF), having joined the board in January 2024.

"Having spent many years in hectic corporate roles, where hitting targets and objectives was a core part of the daily drive, it's great to be involved in supporting the DCF to meet its objective of making cricket available to more people than ever in Devon, my home."

Chad brings over two decades of leadership experience in diverse business functions, coupled with a deep commitment to community well-being. His expertise and passion make him a valuable asset to our mission of promoting cricket across Devon.

Chad's professional background is rooted in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods sector, where he has held board-level roles for over 20 years. Notably, as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Hovis Ltd, he successfully led large, multidisciplinary teams spanning sales, marketing, finance, category management, product development, and operations in Ireland. His leadership extended to working with private equity investors, where he played a pivotal role in two successful business exits, demonstrating his strategic and commercial acumen.

Beyond the corporate world, Chad's passion for meaningful change is evident in his work within the children's residential care sector. Motivated by a desire to improve the quality of care, he established a home in the South West for children in need of support and nurturing care by a highly skilled, qualified and dedicated team of professionals.

Chad joined the Devon Cricket Foundation to contribute his wealth of experience in strategic leadership and operational excellence. His commitment to fostering community engagement aligns seamlessly with the Foundation's goal of creating inclusive and empowering opportunities through cricket.

"Whilst I'm not a 'cricket person', I am passionate about sport and making it accessible and welcoming to anyone who wants to play it, and that's what I am hoping to help achieve at DCF."
