The 2024 Get Set Weekend is set to take place on March 23-24.
The Get Set Weekend is designed to bring clubs and local communities closer together, and ensure grounds and facilities are ready for the new season.
Clubs are encouraged to run a Get Set Weekend to get their facilities ready for the start of the 2024 cricket season.
What is the Get Set Weekend?
The Get Set Weekend has for many years been a pre-season focal point for clubs up and down the country.
The weekend is a fantastic opportunity to inspire new and existing volunteers to spend time at their local club, helping it to ‘get set’ for the upcoming season.
The Get Set Weekend is powered by The Cricket Collective; the volunteers who drive and deliver all areas of the sport. In 2022, over 20,000 people got involved across England and Wales, supporting their clubs and local communities.
What are the Benefits of Participating?
Participating in the Get Set Weekend can provide a range of benefits for your club. By completing a variety of tasks, both inside and outside the clubhouse, you can improve the overall appearance and functionality of your facilities. Additionally, by bringing your community together, you can create a sense of unity and camaraderie that will be felt both on and off the field.
The ECB are encouraging clubs to register for the Get Set Weekend on this form. They have 1,000 cash prizes and Resource Packs on offer for registered clubs to win.
