The Season Will Soon Be Here!
It's the time of year for clubs and centres to get National Youth Programmes-ready ahead of the 2025 season.
The ECB have now launched a new ClubSpark Engage system for clubs and centres to load their All Stars and Dynamos courses online.
As a result of the transition to this new management system, clubs/centres must transfer their accounts across, and all Activators must log in and activate the elements within the Activator checklist, which can be found under the 'coaching' tab on the left-hand side.
Once all four elements have turned green, clubs/centres are ready to go!
Any clubs/centres facing any difficulties relating to this transition should contact the All Stars Cricket and Dynamos Cricket Helpdesk.
The ClubSpark Engage system allows clubs and centres to manage their details, including:
- Adding and updating club/centre contact information
- Uploading key documents to the Club Checklist
- Adding and managing activators
- Setting up bank details
- Inputting course details
- Session dates and times
- Venue
- Cost
Activator Checklist
It is a requirement for Activators to have completed the following items on their personal activator checklist on ClubSpark, alongside a valid and up-to-date DBS.
National Youth Programmes Initial Activator Training
This element is delivered by the Devon Cricket Foundation and will be a face-to-face course, lasting 2 hours. Activators can search for courses using their postcode finder by clicking on this item on their checklist.
On booking a course, Activators will receive an email with pre-course work that should be completed prior to attending. This is completed once by every Activator.

National Youth Programmes E-learning Course
The ECB's online E-learning course takes around 60 minutes in total. This accreditation expires after 3 years, and must then be retaken to remain qualified, so please visit the Activator Checklist in ClubSpark to ensure accreditation is up to date.
A new E-learning course will be launching in February, however, Activators can still complete the current course until that point to be considered qualified.
ECB Safeguarding for Coaches and Activators
This item is required to ensure Activators have the knowledge and information to run safe sessions for children.
From 2025 this will mean completing the 'Safeguarding Level 2' course, which is an online course completed through the E-learning account. If Activators have completed any previous version of the ECB’s Safeguarding qualifications within the last 3 years, this will appear as complete until your current accreditation has ended.
