Nominations for the 2026 Devon Cricket Collective Awards are now open!
Cricket across Devon thrives because of the incredible volunteers who give their time, passion and energy to make everything happen. From coaches and young leaders to grounds teams, committee members and community champions, so many people go above and beyond to keep cricket alive here week in, week out.
The #CricketCollective Awards 2026 are now OPEN and we would love to hear your stories.
This season, we will celebrate our local winners, with those winners then going forward for national recognition. That means your nomination could help someone from your club be recognised across England and Wales.
If someone has made a difference to your cricketing experience, big or small, nominate them and help us shine a light on the people who keep the grassroots game thriving.
To nominate someone, simply follow the button below and complete the form before 11:59pm on Friday, 31 July. And don’t forget to spread the word so every outstanding volunteer gets the recognition they deserve!
There are 13 categories this year, with winners and runners up invited to a celebration event at Somerset CCC on Saturday, 26 September for Day Three of the final Rothesay County Championship match of the season against Surrey.

National Successes
Four Devon Cricket Collective Awards winners have gone on to be crowned national winners in their categories in recent years, with a further county winner going on to be highly commended at national level.
EMMA COOLING - 2025

Emma Cooling was chosen by the ECB as the national Inspired to Play award winner in 2025. Emma was recognised nationally for opening the door to cricket for hundreds of people, from mainstream schoolchildren to adults with complex disabilities. Her adapted sessions, creativity and warmth transformed lives and made cricket accessible to those who never imagined they could play.
Despite missing the National Cricket Collective Awards ceremony, as a valued member of the Cricket Collective, Emma was invited to participate in the first-ever The Hundred Auction at London's Picadilly Lights earlier this year.
EXWICK CC - 2023

Exwick CC were named as one of three winners in the National Connecting Communities Award, being recognised for going above and beyond to #RaiseTheGame and support communities by the ECB.
"A few years ago we were in danger of folding and now here we are winning a national award. It's huge for us."
CORNWOOD CC - 2023

Cornwood CC's grounds team were crowned National Volunteer Grounds Management Team of 2023 by the ECB, recognising the team for taking the quality of the ground to new levels. The improvements led to Devon County Cricket Club and County Age Group matches being played at Oak Park.
"It's surreal really, because it's just little Cornwood down here in Devon, but I'm immensely proud of everyone that's involved."
HELEN SMITH - 2022

Plymouth Civil Service & Roborough CC's Helen Smith was recognised in 2022 for her work at the club over 47 years by being named National Lifetime Achiever Award winner. Described as a "lifeline of the club in difficult times", Helen was proud to be recognised:
"I didn't even know I'd been nominated for the Devon award, so it came as a bit of a shock. It was more of a shock to get the email from the ECB, because I actually thought someone was taking the mickey!
"It was a big shock, but it actually made me feel really proud and honoured."
Helen has since been named as one of six ECB Honorary Life Vice-Presidents, "her passion being central to the club's growth" being cited when announcing her position at the ECB's AGM in 2025.
ANTONY COX - 2022

Sidmouth CC's Antony Cox was highly commended at national level by the ECB in the Inspired to Play category. Antony had racked up an incredible nine nominations on his way to winning the Devon award for his hard work building up the girls' cricket section at the club.
"It's a huge honour to be recognised both by Devon and by the ECB, but more importantly by the parents and those that I've been coaching.
"It's inspiring to be given recognition for something that I love doing."
