The Devon Cricket Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Hollie Perkin as South Devon Community Cricket Coach.

The role will see Hollie join our Community team, replacing Niall Leahy, who has moved across to become East Devon Community Cricket Coach, and working predominantly in the educational sector to inspire more children to say 'Cricket is a game for me!'

Hollie is a graduate of the University of Exeter, having studied Sport and Exercise Medical Sciences, and began working on the Foundation's Girls' Secondary School Programme during this time.

She has spent the last two winters playing and coaching cricket in Australia, returning in the summers to coach on the Devon Cricket Performance Pathway, as well as the junior section and women's softball team at her club.

Hollie plays her club cricket at Brixham CC and Paignton CC, and has been part of the Devon Women squad since 2023, featuring in the Metro Bank One Day Cup final defeat at Kibworth CC last season.

She has also coached on the Devon Cricket Performance Pathway since 2022 and will be Lead Coach of the Under 14 Girls in 2026, as well as assisting with the Under 16 Girls.

On joining the Foundation, Hollie said:

"I have really enjoyed being part of the Devon Cricket Foundation, coaching on the Performance Pathway and Girls' School Programme.

"Cricket has provided me with so many great opportunities, I'm excited to take on this role in the community to share my love for the game and hopefully inspire more young people to get involved."

Speaking on the appointment, Operations Executive, Scott Chappell, said:

"Hollie has been part of club and county cricket in Devon from a young age and has worked for us on a casual basis for a while now, so it's great to see her hard work throughout the years rewarded with a full time role with the Foundation.

"She is a great role model and will inspire more children to say: 'Cricket is a game for them!' We are delighted to have added her to our Community team."
