MCC Foundation Hubs are back in Devon in 2026, with taster sessions set to take place in early December.

The hubs have proven popular since their introduction into the county in 2024, growing from two hubs in West and South Devon to the five hubs that are set to take place in 2026, for the first time including a boys' hub in North Devon.

Last year, 70 girls took part in our MCC Foundation Hubs across the county, with the sessions designed to reduce barriers to accessing cricket, provide equity of opportunity, broaden participation in the hardball game, and diversify talent pathways.

The MCC Foundation, the charitable arm of Marylebone Cricket Club, run a network of cricket Hubs that provide free-to-access training and match play to state-educated young cricketers across the UK.

What are MCC Foundation Hubs?

MCC Foundation Hubs are 10-week winter coaching programme run by performance coaches with a focus on development and enjoyment.

The programme will also offer indoor and outdoor inter-hub match opportunities.

Who are they for?

Devon MCC Foundation Hubs are for state school girls Years 7-12 and state school boys in North Devon in Years 7-10.

Why sign up?

The Hubs not only help develop girls' hardball cricket skills, but also have an impact off the pitch by boosting confidence and developing social skills. One parent gave the following feedback on the 2023/24 Hubs:

"My daughter found the sessions to be lots of fun and really developed her skills and confidence to play cricket. It was also a great opportunity for her to meet other girls and make cricket friends outside our club.

"It was brilliant for Jasmine to see girls she had met at the MCC Foundation Hubs when playing matches and at festivals."
