#GetSetWeekend 2023

As the new cricket season approaches, it's time for clubs to start thinking about how they can prepare for a successful summer, both on and off the field.

One way to do this is by participating in the upcoming #GetSetWeekend, powered by the Cricket Collective, a weekend dedicated to bringing your club's community together to complete a range of tasks.

What is the #GetSetWeekend?

The #GetSetWeekend is an annual event that encourages clubs to inspire and recruit new and existing volunteers to pledge time over the weekend to support their club. The event takes place on the 1st and 2nd of April 2023, to mark the start of the 2023 season. By participating in the #GetSetWeekend, your club can not only ensure a successful summer of cricket, but also future-proof it for many years to come.

What are the Benefits of Participating?

Participating in the #GetSetWeekend can provide a range of benefits for your club. By completing a variety of tasks, both inside and outside the clubhouse, you can improve the overall appearance and functionality of your facilities. Additionally, by bringing your community together, you can create a sense of unity and camaraderie that will be felt both on and off the field.

How to Register

To register your club for the #GetSetWeekend, fill in the ECB #GetSetWeekend form. The ECB encourages all clubs to participate in the event and share estimates of how many volunteers will attend their #GetSetWeekend events and the duration of their activities. This information will help them to monitor the vital role volunteers play across the recreational game and show appreciation throughout the season.

County Grants Scheme

If your club requires a refurb or refresh of changing rooms, toilets, or social spaces, or you're looking to make improvements in relation to environmental sustainability, strategic funding may be available through the ECB's County Grants Scheme. Be sure to check out the available options and apply as soon as possible.
