Sunny Chance to Compete Summer Schools Tournament Concludes

It has been another successful summer of competition for the Chance to Shine, Chance to Compete Secondary School Festival for the Under 13s and Under 15s age groups. 

With over 30 schools taking part in the festival from the regional rounds to the finals, we have seen over 700 girls and boys entering the mixed and girls-only competitions. All rounds took place at local cricket clubs and Devon Cricket would like to thank them all for making their grounds available so that we can hold the regional rounds. It would not be possible without their help.

It was fantastic to see so many participants in the competitions, playing competitive, yet friendly cricket. It was also good to see young leaders from schools to come and help manage teams, as well as umpire games.

Champions: Torquay Girls Grammar School	Runners Up: St Peters Church of England Aided School

Torquay Girls Grammar School's Under 15 Girls have since gone on to win the Western Storm Chance to Compete Regional finals.
