Bowser Called up to Tri-Series Squad

North Devon CC's Dan Bowser has been called up to the England Men's Learning Disability squad headed to South Africa to compete for the Tri-Series title against South Africa and Australia in November.
England will be looking to defend their 2017 title, which Bowser played a major part in winning with an unbeaten 93 in the 40 Over final and 61 not out in the T20 final.
Bowser was awarded the 2018 Christopher Martin-Jenkins Spirit of Cricket Award alongside captain Chris Edwards. In an act of unselfish sportsmanship, England LD looked to have claimed a 7-run win against Denmark Under 17s when a caught-behind decision was given. However, first slip Bowser told captain Edwards that the batsman had hit the ground and the appeal was rescinded. The game was restarted and England LD went on to win by three runs.
In 2020, Bowser was named Lord’s Taverners Disability Cricketer of the Year for his contribution to national disability cricket squads. In the year leading up to the award, he notably scored 499 runs, at an average of 99.8, and was named player of the series during England’s 8-0 ODI series whitewash of Australia.
