Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Cricket Performance Analyst to support Devon County Cricket Club and the Devon Cricket Foundation. This role will be pivotal in providing high-quality match analysis, live streaming, and performance insights to enhance player development across the county’s male and female pathways.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and manage performance analysis equipment for matches.
- Liaise with opposition teams to ensure seamless data capture and live streaming.
- Operate NV Play and PCS Pro to code matches and generate insights.
- Store and manage recorded match footage for post-match analysis.
- Support the analysis of matches involving:
- Devon County Cricket Club (National County Cricket Association matches).
- Devon Women’s team (Metro Bank 50-over & T20 competitions).
- County age-group matches across the male and female pathways.
- Ensure all analysis and live streaming operations run smoothly.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Experience working with performance analysis software (PCS Pro & NV Play).
- Competence in operating and troubleshooting IT and video equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to code matches efficiently.
- Good communication skills for liaising with teams, coaches, and opposition staff.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness and ability to travel to venues across Devon.
- Availability for weekend and school holiday work.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in cricket performance analysis.
- Knowledge of county-level and pathway cricket structures.
- A background in sports science, data analysis, or a related field.
Contract & Compensation:
- The contract will be based on an estimated 45 days of work throughout the season.
- Job share available where appropriate.
- Work schedule will predominantly be on weekends (April – September) and midweek during school holidays.
- Contract terms dependent on the candidate’s availability and commitment.
