UNDER 13 GIRLS

Gloucestershire vs Devon Under 13 Girls

Devon U14 Boys secured a 30-run victory over Dorset in their ECB County Cup clash at Hamworthy CC. Stanley Baker's magnificent 107 (17 fours, 1 six) anchored Devon's total of 224, with valuable contributions from George Bower (23) and George Connolly (19).

In reply, Devon's bowlers maintained consistent pressure, with Luan Matthews De Menezes (4-24) and Brendan Coles (3-40) leading the attack. Dorset's Harry Swan (34) and Will Dike (46) offered resistance, but disciplined bowling from Devon ensured the hosts were dismissed for 194 in 42.4 overs.

Devon Under 15 Girls faced a challenging encounter against a strong Gloucestershire side at Cheltenham Prep School. The hosts posted an imposing 253-3 (Xanthe Bolam 120*), with Frankie Lee (1-27), Thea Rochester (1-28) and Lois Hutchings (1-40) taking the wickets.

Devon's reply saw spirited contributions from Bella Greenwood (20) and Rebecca Savory (13), but they were bowled out for 103 in 17.1 overs.

Devon Under 18 Girls vs Somerset

Girls U18 County One Day - Group 5

Devon Under 18 Girls put up a spirited performance against Wiltshire at Whimple CC, though ultimately fell short chasing 276 in their opening 50-over game. Wiltshire's innings was dominated by Lauren Adams' magnificent 145, with Devon's bowlers working hard in the field: Maggie Haffenden (2-55) and Sophie Brandom (2-29) making key breakthroughs.

In reply, Devon showed positive intent with Elle Golsworthy (32 off 23) and Darcey Boote (42 off 40) providing early momentum. Elizabeth Hall (37) and Violet Bell (22) staged a middle-order recovery, but regular wickets meant Devon were bowled out for 175 in 33.3 overs; Grace Wetherall (3-45) and Jemima Carroll (3-25) proving decisive for Wiltshire.

Wiltshire beat Devon Under 18 Girls by 100 runs.

UNDER 18 BOYS

Cornwall vs Devon Under 18 Boys

Devon Under 18 Boys produced a dominant bowling performance to secure a comprehensive eight-wicket victory over Cornwall at Helston CC. Electing to field, Devon's attack dismantled the hosts for just 45 in 14.1 overs, with Josh Nott claiming remarkable figures of 6-22 and Alex Shutt contributing 3-10. Only Tom Fox-Dean (12) reached double figures for Cornwall.

In reply, Devon reached their target in 15.1 overs despite losing early wickets, with Charlie Gaywood anchoring the chase with an unbeaten 24 and Noah Musikanth finishing on 9. The result set up an away tie at Somerset the following week.

Devon Under 18 Boys put up a fighting performance but ultimately fell short against a strong Somerset side at Taunton CC. After being put in to bat, Devon posted 205 with Charlie Gaywood anchoring the innings with a patient 58, supported by Matthew Matravers' unbeaten 41 late in the order. Harvey Richards (3-36) and Oscar Coleman (3-24) led Somerset's disciplined bowling attack.

In reply, Somerset chased down the target in just 31 overs, with captain Seb Linnitt scoring a commanding unbeaten 102. Despite early breakthroughs from Sam Burns (1-21) and Matt Whalley (1-50), Devon couldn't contain Somerset's aggressive batting display.

Somerset beat Devon Under 18 Boys by 8 wickets.
