Scott Chappell Returns as Operations Executive

The Devon Cricket Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Scott Chappell as Operations Executive.

The role will see Scott providing strategic leadership and support for the Devon Cricket Foundation in delivering our mission of enriching lives through the power of cricket. In his role, Scott will oversee the Foundation's Community and Clubs & Competitions departments, managing and developing cricket programmes for schools, communities and clubs, developing funding opportunities, and overseeing the smooth running of competitions, leagues and club cricket initiatives.

Scott first worked for Devon in 2012 as South Dartmoor Community Cricket Coach, delivering in primary and secondary schools across the region, enabling more children to play cricket and join clubs, and giving teachers knowledge, experience and confidence to deliver cricket in schools.

Scott joins us from our friends at the Somerset Cricket Foundation, where he has spent the last nine years growing the county's Chance to Shine offering, improving their Coach Development programme and inspiring the next generation of cricketers in schools and through youth programmes in his role as Education & Coaching Manager.

On returning to the Foundation, Scott said:

"I am really excited to be back at the Devon Cricket Foundation, and cannot wait to get started in this new role.

"The DCF has a fantastic reputation nationally and does incredible work across the county. Being able to be part of this and support the team in enriching our communities and helping more people experience our great game is something that really excites me."

Speaking on the appointment, DCF CEO, Matt Theedom, said:

"It is great to have Scott back working for the Devon Cricket Foundation. He brings a wealth of experience of delivering community programmes during his time at Somerset.

"We are really looking forward to Scott getting started and delivering in this new key role within the Foundation leading across two departments."
