Sunday is finals day at Westward Ho! in Blights Motor North Devon Cup | Action starts at 10.30am when Bideford face Barnstaple & Pilton

SUNDAY’S round of fixtures in the Brights Motors North Devon League was washed-out by bad weather.
Al six games in both divisions were affected – and two of them did not start at all.
However, there was some play at Braunton, Newton Tracey, Holsworthy & Westward Ho!, but nothing of any consequence.
Westleigh reached 64 for one against Bideford in the derby clash at Westward Ho! before rain stopped play in the 10th over. Will Speed had just been run-out for 22 and Kyle Faber was 34 not out at the time.
Braunton got nearly 17 overs batting time in against visiting Victoria Park before bad weather forced the players off the field. Dan Briers was 35 not out for Braunton in a tally of 87 for three.
Barnstaple & Pilton were 16 for none in the third over of their game against Holsworthy when the weather intervened.
Newton Tracey’s game against visiting Lynton & Lynmouth was halted with the home side on 25 for two.
[O] SUNDAY is finals day in the Blights Motors North Devon T20 Cup, which is being played out at Bideford’s Westward Ho! ground.
Host club Bideford, who topped the qualifying pool without losing a game, face Barnstaple & Pilton (10.30am) in the first game of the day.
Second on are Hatherleigh, whose opposition are North Devon (1.30pm). The final is schedule to get under way at 4.30pm.
Graham Moore, one of the competition officials, said it should be a cracking day’s cricket not to be missed.
“A full day of exciting cricket is promised with a bar and refreshments available,” said Moore.
