B Division briefing – week 17: Drew earns first team call-up for Ivybridge | Abbots just amingto enjoy it

Ivybridge seamer Harry Drew, who will make his first team debut against Abbotskerswell

B DIVISION BRIEFING – WEEK 17

Latest league table

Abbotskerswell (10th) v Ivybridge (3rd)

Ivybridge (Josh Zimmerman): One change from last week. Josh Coker is away, so in comes Harry Drew for his first-team debut after some quality performances for the seconds. We know we need a win to keep us in the hunt and won't be complacent in chasing that goal.

Abbotskerswell (Toby Codd): Last two games of the season and just looking to enjoy it. Max Yates and Charlie Hill come in for us.

Ipplepen (9th) v Bideford (5th)

Ipplepen (Matt Beasant): Goes without saying it's a massive game for us. We are no strangers to being in this position, but this is a very difficult division and Saturday will be no different. A difficult week for selection with decent availability. I'll be back in for Joe Parker who's unavailable. A couple of other changes still to be confirmed.

Bideford (Jack Ford): Opening batter Tom Brend back into the side, alongside all-rounder Marcus Bulled after some run scoring weeks in the second team. Ipplepen away is never an easy fixture, so going to have to further improve on last week's performance against Bovey.  Still two more important weeks left. Hopefully, we can make next weekend more enjoyable and relaxing by doing the hard work this weekend.

Plymstock (2nd) v Bovey Tracey II (8th)

Bovey Tracey (Dan Green): I am at a wedding so Sam Taylor is captain. Always a tough game against Plymstock and I can't see this one being any different. All I can ask is lads do what I know they can and we will be fine. If we win it puts us in good stead as Ipplepen and Braunton have to play each other in the last game of the season.

Plymstock (Tom Mitch): Archie Hall who is away and Jacob hole (injured) drop out. Fraser Cowen back in after finding form in the 2nd XI last week as well as Connor Porter. We need to win to keep the season outcome in our own hands. Everyone is ready and looking forward to it. Theo Valeri – fit again to bat in the middle order for Braunton against Ipplepen

Budleigh Salterton (top) v Braunton (6th)

Budleigh (Ed Doble): Couple changes this week with Sam Whitehead and Lloyd Murrin back in the side and Max Mejzner and Harvey Shipton out.

Braunton (Sam Reddick): A few changes this week with various people away. Matthews, Brierley, Thomas and Tucker all out. Baglow returns as does Theo Valeri to shore-up the middle order. Andy Paddison and James Kemp also in.  We must bounce back from last week and play better in every department. Budleigh are a strong side and deserving of their spot in the table. That being said, we gave them a good test at home. We are seeking nothing but a win this week given our situation.

Stoke Gabriel (7th)  v Clyst St George (4th)

Stoke Gabriel (Jack Tolley): Another big game for us this week, if we play like we did against Budleigh last game, I am sure we can come away with a crucial win. No Abhi Anand this week. Will Culver and Aaron Stevenson come into the side. Plenty of motivation on and off the field to get a key result this weekend.

Clyst St George (Dan Kendall): More changes this week. Myself, Ollie Manning and Ewan Cragg in. It's a significant game for both teams and depending on the result it may or may not set up a dramatic final week for both sides. Clyst St George seamer Ollie Manning – back to face Stoke Gabriel
