To celebrate 50 days until the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is inviting schools across the country to be part of Schools Cricket Day on Thursday, 23 April 2026.

The aim is to embed cricket, and specifically the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, across the curriculum throughout the day, allowing children to participate in cricket-related activities, learn about the tournament and inspire a love of the game. By increasing accessibility of women’s and girls’ cricket, the ECB have bold ambitions to embed cultural change within schools and for all school children.

There are loads of ways schools can get involved, and there will be a host of exciting digital resources to support with delivery on the day. Some schools will receive physical activity delivery from a mixture of charity partners, recreational cricket boards and local clubs.

Early registrants will receive exclusive resources and be in with the chance of accessing money-can’t-buy experiences to make the day even more memorable.
