Around the wickets in the A Division – week 10: Moore aims to keep North Devon out in front | Huxtable looking for batting upgrade

A DIVISION
Ivybridge (5th) v North Devon (top)
Ivybridge (Adam Huxtable): Josh Zimmerman out Tom Worth back in after a solid performance last week in the 2nd XI. We are really happy with the first half of the season, despite the last couple of weeks. We just need to take a bit more responsibility with the bat. The lads are working hard to put that right and I am sure they will.
North Devon (Jack Moore): Ed Wilson away on a school trip so James Tyson comes back to replace him. Young Freddie Tucker also back from school duty which is exciting stuff. Target for second half is pretty obvious: keep our current position in the division. We still haven't played our best cricket so looking to put it all together for longer periods. Same old taking it one-game-at a-time as every game in this division is tough, starting this weekend away to a strong outfit.
Thorverton (10th) v Bridestowe & Belstone (8th)
Thorverton (Jake Choules): Hoping to take some momentum from last week and start to move away from trouble. We need to make sure we work hard in order to do so though, always a tough contest with Bridestowe. Couple of changes with Andy Pitt and Alex Jopling away, the latter dodging his old club
Bridestowe & Belstone (Tallan Burns): Plenty of changes from last weekend’s game. Sam Ewen, Simon Gillespie, Callum Mallett and Ryan Dennis come into the side as well as Leon Horn who is in for his first game of the season. Not our best first half of the season, but I’m backing the lads to turn it around over the coming weeks.
Budleigh Salterton (3rd) v Bovey Tracey (7th)
Budleigh Salterton (Ed Doble) Team continues to be relatively unchanged with only Jack England coming back in for Max Mejzner this weekend. We are happy with how we are going as a group and having a good squad has been good for everyone in both the first and second teams. [O] Seam bowler Ryan Bourgourd has left Bovey Tracey and re-joined Teignmouth & Shaldon for a fourth or fifth time.
Bovey Tracey (Seb Ansley): Target is to climb back up the table to where I think we should be if we play to our potential, starting against a side that are doing well in the division, but it's anyone's game! Ed Foreman being replaced by Pete Bradley. Lewis Hammett replaced by Reuben Stanley, who is back. Tom Andrew being replaced by Brad Causey. Dan Green in for his first game of the season for the first team, replacing me with bat and ball. Jake Pascoe captains.
Torquay & Kingskerswell (2nd) v Kilmington (6th)
Torquay & Kingskerswell (Harry Passenger): Couple out: Kazi Szymanski (side strain), Jimmy Clifford, couple in: Charlie Smout-Cooper (ex-Abbotskerswell) and Dan Western, called up after a handful of strong performances this year. Looking to get back to our level of consistency. Park last week. Keep focusing on the end goal.
Kilmington (Oli Reed): We're still finalising our XI and probably won't know the team until late Friday. Even so, we'll be taking a strong squad into what we know will be a tough fixture. Torquay are going well this season, so we're expecting another competitive contest, as always. Our target for the second half of the season is to consolidate our position in the A Division. If we can put together a good run of results, who knows where we'll finish by the end of the campaign. Above all, we want to keep enjoying our cricket and remain competitive every week
Heathcoat (4th) v Cullompton (9th)
Heathcoat (Jamie Drew): Just the one change this week with Finn Stoneman coming back in. Lee Dixon drops back down to take back the captaincy of the 2nd XI. Looking to fight back from the disappointment of last week.
Cullompton (Dan King) Looking forward to the derby that was a non-starter in the first round. Harry Gillam is back from school duties and replaces Ben Smith at the top. James Vincent returns with his irrepressible enthusiasm. Looking to turn things around after a few weeks of not quite putting together our best performances.
