B Division briefing – week 13: Frost (pictured) returns to Plymstock attack

B Division Briefing – week 13
Seaton (3rd) v Bovey Tracey II (9th)
Seaton (Tim Doulton): One change this week as we bring Sam Dormer back in. Plenty of positives to take from last week into an important game this week. We had a close encounter with Bovey early in the season, so expecting another good contest.
Bovey Tracey (Dan Green): Team nearly sorted. Jamie Bishop and Pete Bradley in. We just need to find some form with the bat and win games. Last Saturday (Stoke Gabriel) was nothing but a disaster from us and we have no one else to blame.
Plymstock (7th) v Braunton (6th)
Plymstock (Tom Mitch): Adam Frost comes in for Mike Blackmore, who is injured, expensive selection for the treasurer. Couple of home games to get some momentum going again. Have had plenty of competitive games against Braunton so expecting similar. Thankfully we have no travellers this year so this fixture can happen at our place!
Braunton (Sam Reddick): A few changes this week as Baglow and Brierley return. Tim Smallridge also comes in. Playing well at home is great, but our away form needs to improve with four of our last six being on the road. It has to start this Saturday at Plymstock, whom we always have competitive games against.
Clyst St George (8th) v Plympton (5th)
Clyst St George (Par Singh): Unchanged for the first time this season! Looking to continue our positive home record. Yet to lose at Bohea. Runs on the board will be vitally important. Crunch time in the season for everyone. Plympton won’t be an easy game at all and look forward to welcoming them on Saturday.
Plympton (Harry Kandampully): A tough fixture for us. A lot of us have not played at Clyst before. Two missing this week – Craig Donohue and Jamie Bailey – due to work and family commitments. In come Tobin Barker and Tom Blay. Looking for another complete performance in all three departments.
Stoke Gabriel (2nd) v Bideford (top)
Stoke Gabriel (Jack Tolley): One change this week. Kyle Lardner drops down to captain the 2md XO and Isaac
Withington makes his return. Having bowled well last week, adding Isaac back into the attack only strengthens it. Ready for a tough game against Bideford, knowing that we need to bat, bowl and field better than the last time we played them.
Bideford (Jack Ford): Top order batter Tom Brend back into the side. He scored a good 68 against Premier side Hatherleigh (midweek) in a T20 so good to have him back in. No denying first against second it is an important game. But in a division where every team can beat anyone, I really feel like it won’t be entirely decisive in the final standings. With the Travel Chapter NDL T20 finals day trophy to try and retain on Sunday, it’s a very exciting weekend for us all to look forward too. That’s if we make it through Somerset’s beer and cider festival first on Friday!
Ashburton (10th) v Barton (4th)
Ashburton: Lloyd White, Nat Saturley and Toby Pascoe back; Chris Yeo and Nick Martin absent due to injury.
Barton (Steve Lewis): Tom Drake back and the only change in for Josh Parkinson, who will bolster the seconds. Momentum is key and we need to keep doing the basics well. Very hard place to go and get a result so we will need to be at our best. But our performances recently are a big reason to be confident we can.
