Devon Cricket is excited to announce Vicky Reeve will return to the role of Wicketz Development Officer from April 1.
Vicky will take over the role from Katie Holland, who is moving into the role of Wicketz Development Manager and will be working more directly with Lord's Taverners.
Speaking on returning to the Wicketz Development Officer role, Vicky said:
"I'm over the moon to return to Wicketz. To come back and see how far it has developed since I was last in the role is really exciting and I can't wait to get started."
Reflecting on her time developing the Wicketz programme in Plymouth, Katie said:
"I am super excited to start my role as Wicketz Development Manager. Developing Wicketz over the last four years has been amazing and an experience I will never forget.
"I will miss working with so many amazing young people, families and partners; but it is now time for me to start a new journey."
Wicketz is a free cricket programme for young people aged 8-16, living in inner-city communities. By establishing sustainable community cricket hubs, we provide year-round weekly cricket sessions in Plymouth with a focus on breaking down barriers, developing crucial life skills, creating stronger communities and enabling brighter futures for those taking part.
Matt Theedom, Managing Director at Devon Cricket, said of the changes:
"I'm really pleased for both Vicky and Katie that they have both gone on to earn their promotions. It really is a testament to the hard work and dedication they have to our Wicketz Programme in Plymouth.
"I'm very grateful to Lord's Taverners for their support with the work we do in the city."
As a result of Vicky's move to the Wicketz programme, Devon Cricket is now looking to appoint a full-time West Devon - Club & Community Cricket Coach to support the implementation of its strategic plan in the West Devon area. This post is supported by Chance to Shine, the England & Wales Cricket Board and the Lord's Taverners.
