HEATHCOAT may have clinched the Division One title, but the contest in Division Two won’t be decided until the final day of the season on Sunday.

Newton Tracey are top of the table with one game to go, which is at home against Lynton & Lynmouth.

Only Barnstaple & Pilton, who have completed their programme, can go past Newton Tracey on the average-points system used in the NDL.

Seven points against Lynton & Lynmouth – or a rain-off – will be sufficient for Newton to win the title and the promotion that goes with it. Any other outcome will open the door for Barnstaple & Pilton to snatch the divisional crown.

The promoted side will take the place of Nomansland in Division One next season.

There was no play in Division One or Division Two last Sunday. Among the games called-off was the derby clash between North Devon and Bideford at Instow.
