| UNDER 13 GIRLS |
The Under 13 Girls started the month with two friendlies on Thursday, 23 July. Megan Drury scored 51 runs off 54 balls in the first game against Somerset, but the side fell to a 45-run defeat, while the girls fell to a 10-wicket defeat against Gloucestershire.
On Sunday, 26 July, the Under 13 Girls played Glamorgan at Upottery CC. Drury and Ella Tilley scored runs as the side fell just short in an 8-run defeat.
In the final game of the month on Wednesday, 29 July, the girls fell to a 10-wicket loss against a strong Gloucestershire side.

| UNDER 13 BOYS |
Dorset were the hosts on Sunday, 5 July for the Under 13 Boys' first game of the month. After winning the toss and batting first, Devon posted 254/7, led by Josh Holmes' 106 off 87 balls and Arthur Coles' 72 off 65. A strong bowling performance restricted Dorset to 152/6 as the side won by 102 runs.
Devon faced Cornwall on Sunday, 19 July, winning the toss and electing to field. Runs from Harry Duckworth-Chad (63 off 56), Holmes (57 off 60) and George Milton (76 off 65) led Devon to a six-wicket victory.
The following Sunday, Devon played Gloucestershire, with the hosts going on to win by 223 runs.

| UNDER 14 GIRLS |
The Under 14 Girls travelled to Somerset on Friday, 24 July, with the hosts posting a formidable 351/7. Runs from Alyssia Hayes (44 off 48) and Katelyn Bowles-Hawkins (41 off 53) saw Devon reach 201 runs before being bowled out in the 38th over.
Devon then faced Glamorgan at Sampford Peverell CC on Tuesday, 28 July. Ella Rowsell scored 63 runs off 77 balls as the Under 14 Girls set a target of 184, which the visitors chased down with 7 wickets in hand.

| UNDER 14 BOYS |
The Under 14 Boys started the month off at Abbotskerswell CC on Sunday, 12 July, facing Berkshire. The visitors won the toss and elected to bat, setting a target of 293. Evan Burke scored an impressive 101 runs off 103 balls, but Devon were beaten by 50 runs.
The following fixture on Sunday, 26 July was a day to forget, as the Under 14 Boys fell to an 8-wicket defeat at Wiltshire in a low-scoring game.
In the side's first two-day game of the season, the Under 14 Boys travelled to Somerset, winning the toss and electing to bat. Aayush Dhayal hit 48 runs in the first innings as Devon were bowled out for 157, with Dhayal taking 4-46 as the hosts finished their first innings on 170 runs. Devon were all out for 127 in the second innings, with Burke scoring 44 runs, but the hosts were able to chase down the total with 7 wickets to spare.

| UNDER 15 GIRLS |
Devon Under 15 Girls started July by hosting Somerset at Clyst Hydon CC on Wednesday, 29th. After restricting the visitors to 141 runs, with Katie Kirkup taking 4 wickets for just 15 runs, Devon chased the target down with three wickets to spare.
The side then travelled to Berkshire on Friday, 31 July for a T20 double-header. Having been made to bat first, Ellie White hit 53* off 60, ably supported by Sophie Kirkup (41) and Iris Woodward's (23) quick scores to set a target of 158. A solid bowling performance saw the visitors out for 134, with Woodward taking 3 wickets for just 9 runs.
Berkshire chose to bat in the second game, setting Devon a target of 136, which was chased down with eight wickets in hand and two overs to spare, with Elowen Neary carrying her bat with an unbeaten 87 off 65 balls.

| UNDER 15 BOYS |
The Under 15 Boys started the month with a trip to Somerset on Sunday, 5 July. Having won the toss and elected to bat, Devon set a target of 231, captain Lucas Bell (64) and Stanley Baker (45) leading the batting scores. A tense chase, which saw Baker and George Bower take three wickets each, was narrowly edged by the hosts, who won by just a single wicket.
The boys were at Brixham CC on Sunday, 19 July to face Cornwall. Devon set a formidable 275/9, with Luan Matthews de Menezes (63*) and Bell (55) standing out with the bat. The visitors were all out for 102, with George Conolly taking 4 wickets for 35 runs.

| UNDER 16 GIRLS |
The first of the Under 16 Girls' 10 fixtures this month took place on Thursday, 2 July, with the hosts, Glamorgan, winning a one-sided game comfortably.
The girls then won comfortably against Cornwall on Monday, 6 July at Brixham CC. Megan Zieleniewicz scored 57 runs off 65 balls as Devon posted a total of 267. Thea Rochester was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets for 14 runs, as Devon won by 170 runs.
Another tough game against Glamorgan followed on Wednesday, 8 July at Topsham Sports Field, with the visitors winning by 9 wickets.
Dorset also came out 9-wicket winners on Wednesday, 15 July at Topsham Sports Field.
The girls travelled to St Just on Monday, 20 July, where Cornwall set a formidable 376/5. Thea Rochester hit 68 off 89 balls, but Devon's chase ultimately fell short.
A trip to Dorchester followed on Wednesday, 22 July. Electing to bat first, Devon finished 109/9 after 20 overs, but a strong batting performance from the hosts saw them chase the target down with 8 wickets in hand. In the second game of the day, the hosts batted first, setting a target of 179. Despite Frankie Lee's 65*, Devon lost by 45 runs.
The girls travelled to Hampshire on Monday, 27 July. The hosts were in impressive form with the bat, setting an insurmountable 411/4 to win the game.
The girls faced Gloucestershire at Topsham Sports Field in a T20 double-header on Wednesday, 29 July. Amelie Webber scored 56 off 60, as Devon set a target of 134, which was chased down by the visitors in the final over of the game. Gloucestershire then set 146/2 in the second game, which proved too large a target for Devon to chase.

| UNDER 16 BOYS |
The Under 16 Boys' game against Somerset on Sunday, 12 July was abandoned, which meant their first game of the month was against Cornwall on Sunday, 19 July in Redruth. Having restricted the hosts to 164 runs, with Riley Calland (4-22) the pick of the bowlers, Devon emerged victorious by a single wicket in a tense chase.
On Wednesday, 22 July, the boys hosted Dorset at Topsham Sports Field, setting a formidable 341/9 off 50 overs. Opener Zac Salter (126) and Connor Trott (77) were the pick of Devon's batters. In response, Dorset were bowled out for 145, Noah Tovell (5-16) and Leo Raichure (5-55) sharing five-wicket hauls.
The Under 16 Boys made it three wins from three in Wales on Sunday, 26 July. Devon's 164 runs proved enough, with Alex Roper (4-16) the pick of the bowlers as Glamorgan were bowled out for 105.

| UNDER 18 GIRLS |
The Under 18 Girls played the first of their 11 games this month against Wiltshire at Ivybridge CC on Thursday, 2 July. Having been set a target of 303, Devon's chase was anchored by Ella Gill's 144*, winning the game by 5 wickets.
The girls were back in action on Tuesday, 7 July, as a second three-wicket haul in as many games from Sophie Brandom helped restrict hosts Dorset to 216 runs, which Devon chased with 2 wickets to spare.
A close encounter with Somerset followed on Thursday, 9 July. Brandom's 4-37 helped bowl the hosts out for 268, but Devon fell to an 11-run defeat despite Gill's unbeaten 116.
The Under 18 Girls then travelled to Hampshire on Thursday, 16 July for a T20 double-header, where they were unable to chase down the hosts' totals on both occasions, while a trip to Wiltshire on Tuesday, 21 July ended in a comfortable win for the hosts.
Ivybridge CC then hosted a T20 double-header against Gloucestershire on Thursday, 23 July. Devon were unable to chase down the visitors' total in the first game, despite Gill's 45*, but Darcey Boote's 53 set the tone for the hosts in the second game, finishing on 182/7 before a solid bowling performance, including Brandom's 4-11, restricted Gloucestershire to just 126 runs.
The girls were then back in action on Tuesday, 28 July, as they hosted Cornwall at Plymouth CC. Boote again set the tone for a dominant display, hitting 124 runs off 86 balls as Devon set a target of 254. Cornwall were bowled out for 138, with Issie Ollis taking 5 wickets for 38 runs.
Ivybridge CC was the venue on Tuesday, 30 July for a T20 double-header against Somerset. The visitors posted a solid 181/3 in the first game, but Boote's 92 off 52 anchored Devon's chase, which was complete with just four balls to spare. Having been made to bat first in the second game, Gill hit 77 off 49 as Devon posted 159/4, a total which proved too much for Somerset as the girls secured a second win of the day.

| UNDER 18 BOYS |
The first of the Under 18 Boys' nine games this month took place on Sunday, 5 July at Penzance. Having chosen to field first, the boys restricted Cornwall to 198, with a solid run chase seeing them win by 5 wickets, anchored by Joe Hopkins' 54.
The boys then travelled to Oxfordshire for Round 2 of the County Plate on Sunday, 12 July. Harry Witcher (56), Joe Hopkins (50) and Ben Handley (50) all scored runs to set a target of 278, but the hosts progressed through to the next round courtesy of an 8-wicket win.
Next up was a T20 double-header on Tuesday, 14 July against Dorset. Game one saw Matt Matravers hit 119 runs off 67 balls to guide Devon to 193/2, with Ollie Knight's 4 wickets for 29 runs helping restrict the hosts to just 133 in reply. Game two, on the other hand, saw Dorset post 222/7, with Devon falling 20 runs short in response.
Another away T20 double-header followed on Thursday, 16 July. Josh Paget's 119* guided Devon to 174/3, which was just enough for victory as Wiltshire fell five runs short of the target. Callum Williams' 4-20 helped restrict the hosts to 159/7 in the second game, with captain Matt Whalley's 52 off 22 anchoring a close chase to win by 1 wicket.
Exeter CC hosted a home T20 double-header on Thursday, 23 July against Cornwall. Devon made light work of the opening game, thanks in large part to skipper Whalley's unbeaten 148 and Ben Handley's 5 for 20, to win by 127 runs. Matravers hit 90* in game two, but Cornwall chased the target of 179 with 5 wickets to spare.
The Under 18 Boys then moved into the three-day competition with a trip to Norfolk on Tuesday, 28 July. Matravers scored 179* in the first innings as Devon declared on 451/8. Callum Williams (3-72) and Luke Thomas (3-100) each took three wickets as the hosts were out for 364. Joe Hopkins opened the second innings with 104 runs as Devon added 317 to their total. Artie Evans (5-53) was the pick of the bowlers as Norfolk were bowled out for 361 to secure a 43-run win for the visitors.
