Introducing James Bogue, who joined as a Trustee of the Devon Cricket Foundation in February this year.
"I'm delighted to be working with the Devon Cricket Foundation at a time when the charity is going from strength to strength. I've taken a huge amount from cricket and owe the sport a lot, so I am looking forward to supporting the foundation where I can to help improve cricket across the county."
With over 20 years of service in local government, James brings a wealth of experience leading community health, wellbeing and sports development programmes, and currently holds the role of Partnerships Lead at Exeter City Council.
James is returning to the Foundation, having previously worked with and alongside the Devon Cricket Board for 10 years between 2005 and 2015, when he was involved with the Performance Pathway, coach education and the community coaching programme while working for Active Devon.
James also brings with him a deep understanding and knowledge of community cricket, leading national programmes delivery and the junior section at Alphington & Countess Wear CC, where his twin daughters bring singing and cartwheels into the weekly Dynamos sessions.
"The growth of the community game is really encouraging, and I'm keen to support the Foundation to become more inclusive and reach out to wider communities.
"The biggest assets that cricket has are its clubs and its people. There is a fantastic cricket family in Devon and I’m looking forward to working with the team on improving facilities and continuing to provide funding to help community clubs grow."
